PROMISING SIGNALS FOR North East SMEs italian version A group of thirty Venetian entrepreneurs has thrown the bases for future new collaborations and businesses in the Balkan countries thanks to a cooperation event organized within the INDE Project (Interreg III B CADSES Program) and promoted by Eurosportello - Unioncamere Veneto. Some entrepreneurs have deepened the knowledge of different entrepreneurial cultures, others have thrown the bases for new collaborations but also for new contracts and businesses. All the participating entrepreneurs have however had the feeling that Slovenia and the other Balkan Countries can represent a big occasion in order to expand the own business activity. Therefore the result of the event, held last 31th May at Ljubliana Hotel Derceva, is surely positive thank to the organization of Eurosportello Veneto - Unioncamere and Eurosportello Lubiana that have managed the partnership event called "Business Cooperation Event" within of the European Community Project IN.DE Information Development. Italian SMEs had the opportunity to establish new contacts with enterprises from six European Countries like Austria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Serbia and Slovenia and from four Balkan areas like Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonian, Kosovo and Montenegro. Slovenia represents indeed an ideal bridge in order to catch up those new markets, in terms of business expansion rather than of delocalization. Entrepreneurs from Italian provinces like Treviso, Vicenza, Padova and Venezia got in touch with several foreign companies all from the same industry branch: mechanics, plastic, textile and wood furnishings. The event was even an occasion for a presentation of the internet portal www.cavirc.net where companies will be able to virtually continue business contact started up in Ljubljana saving therefore time and costs of travel to foreign countries. The Venetian group was composed, beyond 30 entrepreneurs, also from representatives from Eurosportello Veneto - Unioncamere, Sportello Area Balcanica of the Province of Vicenza, Treviso Technologia, special agency of the CCIAA Treviso, the Province of Trento, Informest and IAL Friuli Venezia Giulia.
