INTERREG III B

Scenario

As recommended by the guidelines of the Outline of Development of the European Area, in order to reduce the present gap between the East and West in the infrastructural equipment of the territory and to reach a balanced and more sustainable system, it is necessary to promote a suitable entrepreneurial co-operation policy and support more coherent structural conditions for the increase of the employment. Beyond the contribution of economic and entrepreneurial resources, an equilibrated and sustainable development process implies the promotion of many local context conditions - institutional, economic, social and technological conditions - in order to favour the formation of extended supply and cooperation networks between SMEs.

It is well - known, in fact, how the development of SMEs and local manufacturing systems is conditioned in a relevant way by the presence of specific external economies, such as the availability of human resources, specialised enterprises, dedicated infrastructures and services, ad hoc infrastructure and services. In the perspective of a successful process of European integration, it is required to support the encounter of the enterprises but also of the economic and institutional context in which they operate. Under this point of view, it becomes of fundamental importance to study in deep the conditions of development, the degree of integration between East and West European Countries and specifically the adoption and use of ICT in all the countries involved in the project (CADSES area) in order to design consistent policies of intervention and to promote a wider access to all the information about the local development situation in the Central, Danube and Adriatic - Balkan Countries, as well as to create diffused conditions of access to the knowledge and technological networks.

The INDE Project

This project is meant to give support in business start-ups and extensions in order to raise confidence among local and international investors, all of which can be achieved by improving transparency and communications between parties. This project sees how digital technology can actually lead CADSES Countries toward regional development and sustainable business in a wired world where Euro Info Centres and other Special Agencies will see the light and will give birth to new European growth.

INDE Project objectives are:

  • Supporting and fostering development of productive clusters and local systems of SMEs in Partners’ Countries involved;
  • Strengthening sustainable development, cutting distances and boosting co-operation between intermediary institutions;
  • Supporting the creation and development of assistance facilities, “SMEs assistance centres”, through Public/Private Partnership, with strong territorial and/or sectorial focus, providing basic and specialised services to entrepreneurship;
  • Developing models of territorial and sectorial marketing to promote knowledge;
